Sensei Chet Dixon - Head Instructor - Yondan (4th)

Sensei Chet Dixon 4th Dan began his training in Eastern Martial Arts in 1981, and in 1984 had the good fortune to met, and begin training with Sensei Platt. Through the professional presentation of the Martial Arts by Sensei Platt 8th Dan, Sensei Dixon has been able to participate in Martial Arts seminars, tournaments, and functions all over the world. For this he is grateful.

Sensei Dixon has participated in over 50 seminars with Sensei Richard Kim 9th Dan, as well as many other Martial Artists such as Sensei Higaonna, Sensei Demura, Sensei Warrener, Sensei Kameda, Sensei McColl, Sensei Peter Urban the originator of all North American Styles of Goju Ryu, and of course his Sensei, Sensei Platt.

Sensei Dixon opened his first full time professional Dojo in Pickering in 1990. He has also taught for the cities of York, North York, Etobicoke, as well as Elementary schools, Secondary Schools, Sheridan College and Mohawk College.

He has demonstrated and competed across the globe in countries such as the USA, Argentine, Brazil and Mexico - including a demonstration at the Skydome for the Toronto Blue Jays and four Demos for the Toronto Argonauts. He has also participated in the Masters of Self-Defense demonstration presented at Massey Hall, Toronto, and appeared on local and National television and in three Martial Arts films. He has won two Canadian Championships, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze at the American Cup in Manzenillo Mexico 1998. Defended his Gold in Iaido at the American Cup in Mexico in 1999, as well as Gold in two man weapons, and a Bronze in open kata. He has organized and taught many self defense courses to Public Schools, High Schools, Girl Guides of Canada just to name a few.

Sensei Dixon also participated in the Eastern Tour 2000, visiting Japan, Okinawa and Korea, and recently competed in the Americas Cup 2001 in Mexico, achieving two golds and a bronze medal for Canada.
