| Background
of Melanie Krumm-Dixon: Martial Artist; Natural Health
Therapist
Melanie
was first exposed to Reflexology when she was a yellow
belt in Karate. She was so fascinated with it she started
to learn more. The Martial Arts was the real first interest
she had in anything. Melanie trained everyday, assisted
classes as much as she could, went to every seminar,
tournament, and training weekends. She excelled in all
her classes and achieved Black Belt in 5 years.
Mr.
& Mrs. Dixon moved to Pickering to open a Martial
Arts School in 1990 and Melanie continued to train with
her husband, Sensei Dixon, managed the business with
him, taught and assisted classes. They expanded the
school in 1992. With the expansion Melanie was able
to have her own clinic in the club. In 1998 she received
her 2nd Degree in Kobudo (weapons) and in 1999 she received
her 3rd Degree in Karate. For a long time now Melanie

Melanie
started into the health industry in 1990, basically
for her own use. Once she understood the merit of this
way of wellness, she started to become involved. Melanie
studied under the Canadian Reflexology Association and
became certified in 1990. Studied Kinesiology with Carola
Barczak in 1994 and received a certificate with her.
A couple of months later Melanie started taking a course
with Heather Shaw. There, she learned Iridology, Nutrition,
Herbology, Rayid (personality traits in eyes), and how
to run a more efficient business.
Since
1994 Melanie has attended health classes on a monthly
basis to continue her education in the health industry.
Through Heather Shaw she was given the opportunity to
study with Dr. Bernard Jensen, one of the founders of
Iridology. She excelled in her class of 500 and received
a Certificate of Excellence with Dr. Jensen in Iridology,
Nutrition, and Holistic Healing.
